CPS announces Convocation Ceremony For Diploma, FCPS Students
Maharashtra: The College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPS Mumbai) has announced the convocation ceremony will be conducted in January for Diploma and FCPS Students.
The Convocation Ceremony will be held on 19-Jan-2024 at CPS House, Dr. E. Borges Road, Parel, Mumbai: 400012. All FCPS students have to attend the convocation ceremony In Person compulsorily. The Diploma students have the option of in person and absentia.
The online convocation form can be submitted up to 05-Jan-2024 till 04:00 pm. All eligible students may submit online convocation forms through their respective CPS login. The Convocation Ceremony shall be held on 19-Jan-2024.
Convocation Fees -
1. Diploma (In Person) - Rs. 2,500.00
2. Diploma (In Absentia) - Rs. 3,000.00
3. FCPS (In Person) - Rs. 3,500.00
The fees mentioned above are non-refundable and non-transferable. After making payment, please save the convocation fee receipt for future reference.
Guidelines for online payment of fees –
The CPS website links to a secure payment gateway website to collect fee payments. Students will be redirected to the CPS website with fee receipts after completing the payment transaction. They need to save and print this receipt for reference.
In case your transaction is successful and the amount is deducted from your bank account but you are not redirected to the CPS website with the fee receipt, please wait for 1 hour. In this case, please do not reinitiate payment or refresh the page to avoid duplicate payment.
If any queries regarding the online payment of convocation fees, please e-mail cpsonline@cpsmumbai.org (It is mandatory to mention your correct enrollment no. in the e-mail).
In case you are unable to pay convocation form fees online, the student may send the Demand Draft (DD) of fees to the CPS office, Mumbai, before 05-Jan-2024 till 04:00 pm. DD of requisite fees should be drawn in the favour of the “College of Physicians and Surgeons of Mumbai” payable at Mumbai. Receipt of fees by DD shall be subject to clearance of DD.
CPS is not responsible if, under any circumstances, your DD does not reach the CPS office in Mumbai within the stipulated period of time. Convocation forms submitted without payment of fees shall not be considered for further processing.
For Diploma Students -
All Diploma students who have applied for Convocation In Person shall have to compulsorily sign the declaration required by the By-laws of CPS, on 17th January 2024 OR 18th January 2024 in CPS House, Dr. E. Borges Road, Parel, Mumbai - 400 012 (11:00 am to 04:00 pm). Convocation shall not be allowed if the declaration is not signed in advance before the ceremony day.
Declaration forms for Diploma In Absentia students shall be available after the Convocation Ceremony. Please keep checking the official website of CPS for updates.
For FCPS Students -
All FCPS students have to attend the convocation ceremony In Person compulsorily.
They need to submit the notarized FCPS declaration form (Format attached herewith) and 2 copies of the Aadhar Card and sign the declaration required by the By-laws of CPS on 17th January 2024 OR 18th January 2024, in CPS House, Dr. E. Borges Road, Parel, Mumbai - 400 012 (11:00 am to 04:00 pm). Convocation shall not be allowed if the declaration is not signed in advance before the ceremony day.
Students are required to take print of the convocation form and fee receipt. Read all the instructions mentioned on the convocation form.
For detailed notification, the students must visit the official website of CPS.
The code of conduct to be followed –
1. Entry into Convocation Hall and occupy the designated seat at 12 noon.
2. No entry in the convocation hall without ACADEMIC GOWN.
3. Dress Code: Strictly FORMAL DRESS, NO jeans/T-shirts, no sleeper, and no sports shoes.
4. No Mobile in the hall (it will be confiscated if found disturbing during the Ceremony)
5. Candidates will not be allowed to leave the hall until the end of the Ceremony.
6. Rise and remain standing during the procession of the council.
Arrangement of supply of Academic Gown will be made in CPS on a hire basis –
1. Hiring charges Rs. 300/- for academic gown and refundable security deposit of Rs. 2,000/-.
2. Total Rs. 2,300/- to be paid directly to the contractor authorized by CPS.
3. Gown can be hired between 11 am to 4 pm on 17th Jan 2024 and 18th Jan 2024.
4. Gown cannot be hired on 19th Jan 2024.
The authorized photographer will be available to take photographs of the ceremony during the handing over of the Convocation Certificate. Students can make advance bookings for the same. Personal photographers and/or photography will not be permitted in the convocational hall.
Candidates are not allowed to invite guests, parents, or friends inside the convocation hall. However, a live display of the ceremony will be projected in the waiting area / social media.
